Hi, we’re Kitto

A Santa Maria practice, built on trust.

We’ve cared for Central Coast families for more than 40 years. We earned our neighbors’ trust the old-fashioned way: listening, being honest, and doing what’s right for each patient.

Zero judgment. Zero pressure. Zero guesswork.

Zero judgment

Whether it has been six months or six years, we meet you where you are. No lectures. No guilt. Just care that starts today.

Zero pressure

We show you what we see, explain what matters now, and tell you honestly what can wait. Conservative first. Always.

Zero guesswork

You leave with a written plan and cost estimate before treatment. You stay in control of what happens next.

Listen first. Educate clearly. Treat conservatively.

The best dentistry doesn’t feel like a sales pitch. You deserve clear explanations, honest options, and a plan that fits your goals, comfort, and budget. If you need treatment, we’ll explain why. If you don’t, we’ll tell you that too.

Some patients come in for the basics. Others need something more involved. Either way, our approach is the same: we walk you through your choices, answer every question, and move at a pace that feels right. When advanced care is appropriate, we can discuss options like implants, orthodontic options, and comfort support.

Three doctors. One philosophy.

Dr. Alanna Huth, Dr. Ashley Kitto Channer, and Dr. Laura Goldberg lead the clinical team. Together they offer the full range of general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, all under one roof on East Main Street.

Dr. Channer grew up in this practice. Her father, Dr. Robert Kitto, founded it and shaped its philosophy of conservative care and long-term relationships. She has practiced here since 2011, alongside Dr. Goldberg (with the office since 2018) and Dr. Huth (joined 2025). The continuity is why so many families across Santa Maria, Orcutt, Nipomo, and Guadalupe treat Kitto as their dental home.

What makes us us.

Deep Santa Maria roots

Kitto Dental has cared for Central Coast families for more than four decades. Many of our patients have been with us across generations.

Full range of care under one roof

From routine cleanings to crowns, bridges, root canals, and fuller restorative work, most treatment happens right here without referrals.

Honest conversations

No pressure. No upsell scripts. We explain your options, show you the pictures, and let you choose what fits your goals and budget.

Comfort-first appointments

Dental anxiety is common. We take the time to talk it through and adjust the visit to what works for you.

Modern tools, warm hands

Digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, and quiet chairside conversation. The technology stays in the background. The care stays in the foreground.

You’ll see a familiar face at every visit. Consistent guidance across the team is what makes Kitto feel like a true dental home.
